T'ai Chi & Qigong: The Prescription for the Future - (Volumes
1, 2 and 3) by Bill Douglas, author of The
Complete Idiot's Guide to T'ai Chi and QiGong. "I...
encourage you to read my book "The Complete Idiot's Guide to
T'ai Chi & Qigong" for a comprehensive look at Traditional Chinese
Medicine (TCM). In TCM it is understood that when one understands
and "believes" in the therapy, such as T'ai Chi & Qigong, the
healing benefits are magnified by that understanding. Then when
you use the videos or audios (see Qigong: Relaxation Therapy,
Qigong: Expanding Awareness, Qigong: Earth Cleansing) your left
brain, or analytical mind, can relax and allow the right brain,
or sensory/sensual mind, to enjoy the pleasant experiences the
videos and audios take you through. This left brain / right
brain approach that the book and videos combine to create is
the hallmark of my SMARTaichi program. As you see by the testimonials
in the front of my book, written by a surgeon, a pharmacologist,
a neurologist, a psychologist, a physical therapist, and an
ER physician, this program can be a powerful tool in your life
as it releases the modern stress now becoming a greater issue
for all of us. These tools will expand our creativity and health,
if you use them. Practice these tools as often as you can (daily
or twice daily if possible), not because they do wonderful things
for you (which they do), but do them because they "feel good"
and are "fun." FUN is at the core of my teaching. If you enjoy
Tai Chi & Qigong, then you will use them more and more . . .because
we all like to have fun. ENJOY! " Bill Douglas
